Scott Butera, CFP^®

Scott was destined to be a financial advisor. He has been passionate about finance for as long as he can remember and began pursuing opportunities to learn more about the industry as young as junior high school. Now with over 25 years of experience as a financial consultant he is happy to be working for LPL Financial services as a Fiduciary always working in the client’s best interest. Prior to LPL, Scott most recently worked for Edelman Financial Engines for over 15 years.

As Managing Director, Financial Advisor for his namesake business, Scott is driven by the desire to help his clients work towards pursuing their goals and supporting them on their financial journey. Clients appreciate Scott’s positive demeanor, responsiveness, and genuine interest in their well-being.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Scott now resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife, Amelia, and their two children, Lucy and Will. Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his kids during their sporting events and acting performances. He also enjoys working on projects around the house and volunteering with the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.

Scott holds his Series 65 license held with LPL Financial and is a Certified Financial Planner®.
